Moria Furnace Folk Festival 2010
The Hermitage Folk Team are Pat Noon, Chris Sweeney, Terri Eynon & John Legrys. We each take turns in hosting the show with tracks from our own collections to give you the widest spectrum of traditional & contemporary folk music. We make a point for promoting local and regional artists – with a filling of national and international acts!
Below is a small paragraph written by each of the Hermitage Folk Show presenters.
Semi-retired storyteller, past-published poet and half-hopeful harpist,
I'm the techie of the crew. I cue up the tracks, trim the sound and fiddle
with the faders. If I'm good they let me harp on about harps occasionally.
Terri Eynon
Frustrated DJ and folkie from my teenage years onwards, this is my first attempt at regular broadcasting. My taste in music? Well it all started with Fairport Convention...
Chris Sweeney

Folk interested began with Simon and Garfunkel and took off with Fairports .This is my first attempt at sharing it with an audience larger than one. Radio hero - Johnny Walker
Pat Noon
In the late 1960’s folk music was in the mainstream and Radio 1 was playing artists such as Fairport Convention, Simon and Garfunkel & the Dubliner's - I was spell bound. Meet up with local folkies – and started going to Stevenage Folk Club. I was dragged to see Steeleye Spam at the local Mecca – stood and saw Maddy Prior's live performance of chart topping Gaudete – and the rest is history.....I cannot play, dance or sing and prefer to be called a Folk Music Consumer! But I am keen to see those who can perform - promoted. Thats my job now!
John Legrys
